Shenzhou 12 is a Chinese spaceflight planned for launch on 17 June 2021. The flight will mark the seventh crewed Chinese spaceflight and the seventh crewed flight of the Shenzhou program. The spacecraft is scheduled to carry three CNSA taikonauts on the first flight to Tianhe, the first module of the Tiangong space station.

The mission will visit the Tianhe core module following the launch and successful docking of Tianzhou 2, the second flight of China's Tianzhou cargo resupply craft. Although it has not been made clear yet if Tianzhou 2 will remain on the station for the duration or any of Shenzhou 12's stay on the station, it is a possibility as the CCM will have more than one docking port as opposed to China's two previous space stations.
Two spacewalks are planned to occur during the crew's approximately three-month stay in orbit.
While onboard the crew is expected to perform technical verification activities, will carry out repair and maintenance of the Tianhe CCM, and will perform extravehicular activities. Lasting 3 months, this mission will likely break the record for the longest Chinese human spaceflight, with the current record having been set by the Shenzhou 11 in 2016, which spent 33 days in space.
The Shenzhou spacecraft has three modules: a forward orbital module, a reentry capsule in the middle, and an aft service module. The orbital module has room to store experiments and equipment and is a space for in-orbit habitation. The reentry module is the middle section of the spacecraft. This is where the crew sits for lift off and reentry and is the only part of the vehicle which makes it back to Earth. The service module holds the life support and equipment needed for the Shenzhou to function.
The tianhe space station Core Module provides life support and living quarters for three crew members and provides guidance, navigation, and orientation control for the station. The module also provides the station's power, propulsion, and life support systems. The module consists of three sections: the habitable living quarter, the non-habitable service section, and a docking hub.
The Chinese large modular space station is a planned space station to be placed in Low Earth orbit between 340 and 450 km above the surface. The planned Chinese Space Station will be roughly one-fifth the mass of the International Space Station and about the size of the decommissioned Russian Mir space station. The Chinese station is expected to have a mass between 80 and 100 tonnes (180,000 and 220,000 lb).
The Long March 2F (Chinese: 长征二号F火箭 Changzheng 2F), also known as the CZ-2F, LM-2F, and Shenjian (神箭, "the Divine Arrow"), is a Chinese orbital carrier rocket, part of the Long March 2 rocket family. Designed to launch crewed Shenzhou (spacecraft), the Long March 2F is a human-rated two-stage version of the Long March 2E rocket, which in turn was based on the Long March 2C launch vehicle
Long March 2F is a liquid-fueled two-stage rocket that is equipped with four liquid-fueled strap-on boosters that are ignited at liftoff and provide extra thrust during the initial ascent phase. It is operated from the Jiquan Satellite Launch Center located in the Gobi desert approximately 1,600 Kilometers from Beijing.
